  • Call for Minisymposia Sessions
All researchers and research groups are welcome to submit a Minisymposia session proposal to chair a session at the KSMB-SMB2024 SEOUL.

Important Dates

  • Call for Minisymposia Session Opens : October 20, 2023
  • Deadline of Minisymposia Proposal : November 30, 2023
  • Abstract Submission Deadline : March 31, 2024
  • Speaker Registration Deadline : April 30, 2024

How to submit your proposal

  • Please submit your session proposal through the online submission system.
  • For an MS proposal, one can create an account to log into the system and submit the following:
    - Title of session
    - Session organizer info (name, affiliation, email etc)
    - Abstract of session
    - Speaker info (names, affiliations, emails etc),
    - Title of talk for each speaker, and
    - Relevant subgroups for the session topic
A typical MS session will have five speakers last 100 mins (20 mins per speaker including questions/answers), but the format can be flexible in exceptional cases. For example, an MS session could have 4 speakers instead of 5, assigning 25 mins per speaker. An MS organizer (or organizers) can propose multiple sessions as well. For example, one can propose 10 speakers with the same research topic. In this case, if accepted, this MS session will be split into two sessions with 'I', and 'II' at the end of the session title. If one has an accepted MS proposal with 9 speakers, combinations of 5+4 or 4+5 will be applied for the two sessions.
  • The session organizer should submit a list of the chair and speakers.
  • The number of speakers : min. 4,5 or 8,9,10 or max. 12,13,14,15 speakers
  • The chair & speaker of the accepted sessions should complete the early-bird registration.
  • The program committee may reject the proposed session if the session topic is not suitable.
